About

Meet Joel Navarro

Born and raised in Tempe, Arizona, Joel Navarro is a fourth-generation Arizonan committed to serving his community. A first responder with the Phoenix Fire Department, Navarro currently serves as the Deputy Chief at the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Fire District and its Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting program. As a public servant, Navarro has dedicated his career to protecting the safety and well-being of his fellow Arizonans.

As a Supervisor, Joel Navarro will:

  • Protect our democracy and the integrity of our election process

  • Fight against mis-, dis-, and mal-information in our elections

  • Increase ballot drop box usage to make early voting accessible

  • Provide resources to protect our elected officials and poll workers from extremist harassment 

Maricopa County Board of Supervisors

It’s an elected body that serves all of Maricopa County. They make decisions that affect our everyday lives and are crucial to preserving the integrity of our democratic process. The Board of Supervisors declares election results and sets the tone for Arizona’s future. But as our democracy continues to be under attack and our elections are at risk from extremism, it is more important than ever to elect leaders who will stand up for our communities and ensure each vote is counted and heard.
